The Filarmonici Friulani Youth Orchestra consists of young musicians from the local Region, students and former students of the musical schools of Friuli-Venezia Giulia and the most prestigious Italian and foreign academies. The members range from 16 to 35 years of age and have come together to create a high quality professional artistic experience alongside their standard academic activity.
The orchestra was founded in 2015 and already boasts a full calendar of events on different stages throughout the region besides invitations to perform in Croatia at the Vinkuran Cave Romane or Roman Quarries as well as on the island of Ischia. Furthermore, Rai RadioUno, Friuli Venezia Giulia has broadcast the recordings of some performances. Alessio Venier, born in 1992, is the resident artistic Director.
